Call for Papers for Issue 13.2/2027
The issue will be dedicated to the memory of Professor Krystyna Stamirowska of the Jagiellonian University, who passed away in October 2025. Professor Stamirowska was an eminent scholar, a specialist in contemporary English fiction, and a co-founder of the Polish Association for the Study of English. The aim of the planned issue is to commemorate her contribution to English studies.
Professor Stamirowska’s main research interests included theories of reading and reader reception, the role of cultural heritage and tradition in contemporary English fiction, modernist and postmodernist experiment, the work of Joseph Conrad, Beryl Bainbridge, B.S. Johnson, and Kazuo Ishiguro.
We invite papers and book reviews related to these topics. We would especially welcome contributions from colleagues who knew Professor Stamirowska, as fellow academics or as her students.
Please send a 250-word abstract with a short bio by 1st June 2026 to bozena.kucala@uj.edu.pl. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 15th June. Completed papers will be due by 1st November 2026.
